KARAGHEUSIAN logo

A. & M. Karagheusian, Inc. was a rug manufacturing company founded by Armenian brothers Arshag and Miran Karagheusian, headquartered at 295 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. Manufacturing was located in Freehold Borough, New Jersey, and the company operated for 60 years before closing in 1964.

It employed 1,700 people at its peak operation in the 1930s.

A spinning plant was established in 1925 in Tientsin, China, which employed 4,000 workers before World War II.

In 1984, Bruce Springsteen wrote My Hometown , a song which also refers to closure of Karagheusian Rug Mill.

Since beginning 2025, we have been working on the revival of the brand we proudly own.
